What's next for Battlefield Labs?
Today's open beta announcement (and the leaks indicating an imminent reveal for Battlefield 6) got me thinking about where Labs could go, ahead of the full launch.

Some context; on the website, they use both the standard BF font, and this new one, to refer to the Labs program.
At the end of the day, it's not important to the game, but I really am curious which one they'll go with.
I made a simple concept for the Battlefield 6 logo, using the bold font found in official Battlefield Labs media.
(Yes, this makes the assumption that the game will be referred to as '6', which I hope for 😅)
Some of my favorite details that I've noticed include;
- Cartridges in the Garand en-bloc wobbling & depressing as your character applies pressure.
- Various magazine catches snapping out as a new magazine is inserted.
- The absolute weight of the Desert Eagle in Insurgency.
The first two episodes of my slow-mo gun animation videos are up!
So far, the series has featured games like Battlefield, COD, Darktide, Insurgency Sandstorm & more

The lack of master levels or other replayable / challenge style content is definitely bad though. 🫠 I'm really hoping we see a big update in a month or so that introduces something to remedy that.

The campaign for TDA so far has been super fun, the core loop is awesome and there's a LOT to get through, so I'm happy to have more of what DOOM does best.
It's something I'd really like for a game like Battlefield Hardline 🥲 which has become literally unplayable now.

However, the upside that I've thought about lately is the potential to revive any old, dead game, using fairly tuned AI players that simulate real ones.

In the hopes of seeing the next Battlefield game have solid, meaningful destruction, I went back and took a long look at Battlefield V, the game I believe NAILED destruction.
