Your at 8, there is a board stall, and you have no way to block fliers. Your opponent casts Ran and Shaw and has the mana to pump it and kill you. You Murder it and watch all your creatures die, then realize it was Mirrorwing. They attack and win.
I can see this easily getting people on Arena where the art is smaller and one is much more likely to show up in draft than the other.
The fact that they both have the exact same cost doesn't help.
In power cube 6 mana needs to pack a big punch. For 6 mana you can Primeval Titan (fetching Cradle, Academy, Saga, or Strip Mine), you can cast Time Spiral, you can cast Bolas' Citadel.
6 mana to draw a card and cheat in a 3/3 version of an artifact or creature just doesn't feel like enough.
βIf we lost the majority in the house... they will try to end the Trump administration. He won't have 4 years, he'll have only 2βbecause they will move to impeach him, probably on the first day of the new Congressβ¦ and they will try to systematically unwind all [our fascist] reforms.β
Sounds great!

It's interesting the utility I've seen the Planets generate just as lands that have

From the Etymology section on the Wikipedia page on Lynching: Charles Lynch was a Virginia Quaker,[12]:β23ffβ planter, and Patriot who headed a county court in Virginia which imprisoned Loyalists during the American Revolutionary War, occasionally imprisoning them for up to a year. Although he lacked proper jurisdiction for detaining these persons, he claimed this right by arguing wartime necessity. Lynch was concerned that he might face legal action from one or more of those whom he had imprisoned, notwithstanding that the Patriots had won the war. In 1780, he persuaded the Continental Congress to pass Lynch's Law to forgive extrajudicial wartime Loyalist imprisonment.[13] It was in connection with this that the term Lynch law, meaning the assumption of extrajudicial authority, came into common parlance in the United States. Lynch was not accused of racist bias. He acquitted Black people accused of murder on three occasions.[14][15] He was accused, however, of ethnic prejudice in his handling of Welsh miners.[11]

02.11.2025 13:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Star Realms is a ton of fun and does exactly what Garfield originally invisioned magic doing. Two players can sit down and play out a best of 3 in like 20-30 minutes. Great for gaming nights while waiting for others to finish something (long commander game?) or just taking a break.

The main thing I can think of is for cutting twine.
Also, I knew a guy who ran a nursery and he would use a knife to break up the rootballs of shrubs before planting them, but it was an old dull steak knife.
Squall Leonhart from FF8 as Danitha Capashen, Paragon. (This is supposed to be a white card but its coloration is almost solid Red)
Vaan, Aspiring Sky Pirate as Captian Lanery Storm, screenshot from FF12. The background is really busy and he kind of bleeds into it
"A Promise Fulfilled" from FF8 as Light up the Stage. These graphics were great at the time but framed like this look very uncanny.
"Clive Rosefield" from FF16 as Vial Smasher the Fierce. Just a lot going on, and easy to loose him in the background, especially when shrunk down on a card.
People liked the Amano ones, but some of the screenshot ones looked pretty bad/were hard to tell what color they were supposed to be. But they were still better than these.

Wasn't the last cube they put on just a moderate amount of gold to join? The chance to play with the Power 9 is not worth loosing a bunch of gems.
29.10.2025 14:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Wait you can (or could) buy games on Amazon Games? I have clamed a bunch of games on it through Prime (Hyperlight Drifter, many of the Steamworld games, The Messenger, Kingsway, Superhot, Blasphemous) but don't remember anything 1st party or that I had to specifically buy (outside of the prime fee).
29.10.2025 02:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0On one hand we refer to my mom's cousins as "the cousins" partially as a catchall term because there are a lot of them with slightly different relations to each other.
But, when I'm talking about them to someone outside the family I just use Aunt or Uncle because it's less confusing.

Have had a lot of fun with this in Brawl on Arena.
My one big complaint is that for some reason Frogmite is a mythic on arena!
I refuse to spend a mythic wildcard on a common that I have tons of in paper (drafted a bunch of Mirrodin) and that I assume will eventually get added as a common later.
Ah the classic anime/JRPG experience of having a group of attractive adult characters with an seasoned older mentor. Then you find out that the mentor who they were joking about being "old" is only 20 and these characters who look like they are in college or older are supposed to be 15 to 17.

24.10.2025 23:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So the idea of an FPS (or TPS, it keeps changing) inside an Inception style fever dream where the random doors open out of nowhere and the overall geometry doesn't make sense could be really cool. But, when done intentionally, and as an actual game.
24.10.2025 19:32 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So, are we okay with an opponents Yavimaya helping you cast a Kitchen Finks in your RW deck?
Personally, I'm for keeping the rule the same, but I was also for keeping "damage on the stack." It changed and the game moved on, in some ways a bit better, in other a little worse, but still fun.
But it made color identity a more important restriction. I think Hybrid would be less divisive in a world where the deck restriction was based more on what mana you are able to generate and less on the literal colors of your cards.
24.10.2025 15:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This now means that you can use treasure and lands like city of brass to tap for colors outside your commander's identity, possibly to pay for costs of cards you steal.
24.10.2025 15:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0An example for commander that affects this: when colorless was made its own mechanical thing comander changed its rules for mana. Before if you tried to add mana outside your color identity you got colorless. Once that wasn't always a drawback they removed it.
24.10.2025 15:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0When they removed "damage from the stack" for being unintuitive there was debate about if it was needed, but also, it created new issues that they have been addressing since. Not saying it was a bad idea, just that any change has consequences.
