Bonjour hi! | ÉPICBiodiversity

👋 Bonjour hi!

We've built a whole new website, and @ctrlalttim.com has thoughts about the long-term dynamics of research groups to share.

Some key things I found:

1️⃣ The jointly designed indicators show a stronger policy link.
2️⃣ Socioecological studies underrepresent some dimension of biodiversity.
3️⃣ Effective biodiversity policy requires aligning expert-driven analysis with broad stakeholder participation.

Today I presented at #LivingData2025 / #DatosVivos2025.

My research explores how people conducting socioecological studies use indicators and how those indicators are taken up in public policy.

#LivingData #DatosLivos is starting three days, and the lab (and friends) will be well represented. Here are some presentations you simply can't miss. 🧪🌎

On Oct 21, @crcruzr.bsky.social will tell you everything about socio-ecological indicators and what they don't yet do well.

Excited to have been part of the developer team! 🐾 Beyond providing access to the List of Mammals of Colombia, it helps map species records and validate coordinates against administrative boundaries. Looking forward to feedback & future updates!
