Brittany, who is also working on the Centuries of the Bristlecone project with me, is a master antiquarian conservator based in Seattle. She always has interesting restoration projects on the go.

A new project in the workshop. A lovely early 19th century singing bird box. These treasured balladeers are my favorite to work on.

Rough assembly of the mechanism to drive the hour and minute hands is done. Wiring cleanup next. The hands are driven independently by the master controller, which also provides control for the calendar rings.

Saw your post about that! Next time you’re out this way give me a heads up. I’m on Vancouver Island and occasionally spend time in Seattle visiting Brittany Cox. We should have a clockmakers lunch/shop tour at her place, which is amazing. Is Perpetual in a public location? Would love to see it.
