Totally agree.
Also the actions of both he and the driver are testament to how essential ongoing training, a full communications network, proper support and on board train staff all are.

Have started to view these posts as kind of horoscopes. Because of this one I'll maybe text a friend today. Yesterday I scraped off with my hand an infinitely thin, transparent substance from the unmarred carcass of a whale

Ha! Love that. I'm adding it to the Nicholas Parsons Richard Briers story in my list of brilliant celeb misunderstandings

Nothing came up initially when I typed in my library's name, but it worked when I expanded it to the council's name

Yes I found this out while checking to see if all the Call My Bluff words are made up and the show is a big prank

Dickens even wrote other Christmas stuff - just once I'd like to see 'The Haunted Man and the Ghost's Bargain: A Fancy for Christmas-Time'

Someone needs to write a new Christmas play. Last year it felt like there were 40 productions of A Christmas Carol in my postcode alone

This is no fun, Relay. Please tell me warehouse locations, scan times - paint me a picture. The wondrous journey section of tracking is PART OF THE PLEASURE

Kenneth More and Kay Kendall in the film Genevieve in weirdly exactly the same location at the pic of the car in my post above (going across Westminster Bridge with the House of Commons behind them). They're in an old car but not the same one, and not Genevieve either. I think KM's character drove a rival (evil?) car

Knew it - look at his eyes
Also whoa I need Kay Kendall's outfit

There's a cool woman in it who plays the trumpet in one scene and that bit's really good.
I've just realised the cars in it weren't even 50 years old. It'd be like me driving to Brighton in a 1977 Ford Capri

I might be remembering Genevieve (1953) as more violent than it was, but it was a while ago I watched it and I'm scared to rewatch

A very old blue Benz car, from when cars still looked a bit like carriages you'd forgotten to connect a horse to. This isn't my pic - but I remembered the reg plate and it literally came up immediately on Google images

I saw this car this morning, stuck at the side of the road. I sort of wish I'd gone and said hello and asked about it but if I learned anything from Genevieve (1953), Kenneth More was about to turn the crank handle and lash out at bystanders
