Dementia support in Shetland | Age Scotland Details of Age Scotlands'd trip to Shetland to find out more about the needs of people living with dementia and unpaid carers in an Island setting.

Our dementia team recently travelled to Shetland to meet local groups, unpaid carers and people living with dementia. Over two days we visited community projects and listened to voices of lived experience in a rural setting.

We're excited to be working on a new video showcasing our Dementia Grants work! 🎥

We had a great day yesterday filming with Greener Peebles and Dementia Friendly Tweeddale. Attendees learnt to make their own wreaths as well as catching up with friends over coffee and cake!🌿

We met with local groups to learn more about the needs of those living with dementia and unpaid carers on the island. We also hosted a Dementia Friendly Communities meeting and shared updates on CONSOLIDATE.
