The gang just settled in the Gate and Rav thinks a round of drinks would be good for morale - the only problem is she can't afford the prices at the Elfsong. So she suggests they venture to the Blushing Mermaid (where she can take advantage of her employee discount aka swiping some booze from the back room without anyone looking). Karlach and Rav settle in to the good times VERY easily.

A lightly drunk Gale uses this opportunity to pick at Astarion a little and goes off on a diatribe about how strong his and Rav's friendship is. That their bond goes beyond mere lust, that they're mates and not just mating. (NO CHILL MY MANS.) Needless to say, Astarion is NOT A FAN.

Rav catches wind of what's going on and is like, thanks Gale. Def looking to cleaning up this whole mess later. 10/10 best friend experience.

Off to the side, Wyll is pretending to be passed out. He just wanted a drink and some peace. Meanwhile Laz is growing impatient with Shart's inability to decide if she wants the wine, the ale, or something else.

Ravioli is still kneeling down next to a Christmas tree. She has a devilish grin on her face as she eyes the presents beneath it. Astarion has crouched down into "attack" position. He has a wiry grin and sharply arched brows. He is ready to pounce on the little Christmas thief in front of him.

Astarion comes up behind Rav and grabs her for a kiss. He places one arm around her waist and the other gently grabbing her chin. He leans in to kiss her cheek. Rav is kneeling upright, a big smile on her face, seemingly unfazed at being caught for her crimes.

Rav turns to face Astarion slightly so the two can continue their kiss next to the Christmas tree.

Rav absolutely picks that the presents under the tree leading up to Christmas. Hopefully there's no rogue gearing up for a sneak attack while she's preoccupied.
