A collage of six images: a Palgrave Macmillan cake, book covers like 'FUN!' by Alan McKee and 'The Psychology of Brexit,' and 'Future Fear.' One image shows a person in a suit and another shows handprints on glass.

It is such a privilege to work on books about books across the board, but the books I work on that represent innovative approaches to the "classic" American authors that in many ways inspired me to aspire to be an editor and to work in publishing do bring me a specific shameless (and nerdy) joy.

Poe and Place This collection of fifteen original essays and one original poem explores the theme of place in the life, works, and afterlife of Edgar A. Poe, and argues that place is an important critical category ...

This comes as a great accompaniment to the award-winning collection POE AND PLACE (2018), also edited by Philip Edward Phillips: link.springer.com/book/10.1007...

It may not be Halloween anymore, but it's always Poe season if you ask me. I'm so proud to have POE SPACES, a fascinating collection of interdisciplinary work in spatial studies on Edgar Allan Poe on my books program, available now: link.springer.com/book/10.1007...

"The author of the project may be counting on [your peer review] for tenure or promotion and cannot move forward without your input."

THIS. Academia is already such an ecosystem of precarity, so for the sake of your fellow academics, please deliver peer reviews on time!

-Mamdani and Cuomo sharing the debate stage still evoking the first televised presidential debate between JFK and Nixon
