Poorly phrased on my part. I mean, if I have to leave Discord, I won’t be looking for a replacement. At this point if it’s big enough to be steady enough that it’s likely to last it’s just going to do the same thing eventually. I’d almost rather just have nothing at this point.

I’m kind of at the point that if things go belly up for Discord and I have to leave I’m probably just not going anywhere. It feels like the eternal migration on the internet is getting so much faster, and my mental energy so much less. Just don’t think I can handle the cycle anymore.

Game devs, I am once again asking you to add keyboard only input as an option to your games. If you can support navigating menus with a controller, you can support keyboard. Arrow keys and enter instead of D-pad and A. Simple enough. And for my disability and many others, it's the best way to play.

This is why I love 4e. It’s very good at sitting in the corner patiently while role playing happens and then as soon as someone wants to throw a punch it jumps up and goes “Mememe!! I can help!” Like a third grader that knows how to solve a problem in class.

They/them for someone whose pronouns aren’t they/them is used for avoidance. For the uninformed it’s useful for avoiding misgendering them on accident. For the informed, it’s being used to avoid using the person’s pronouns.

I’ll add onto your point. Difficulty should be modular, and lower difficulty shouldn’t automatically shunt out parts of the game. I don’t want to lower difficulty for combat reasons and it throw out the puzzles completely.

Actually, a better comparison, it would be like arguing that abortions are dangerous by including the people killed or injured by anti choice protesters as injured due to the procedure.

That’s a red herring. 90% of the already small number of detransition cases are due to transphobic threats of violence. That’s like the argument “we have to stop the health department from checking restaurants because it causes them to hide when they’re serving expired food instead of flaunting it”

Exactly this. I think the most eye opening moment I’ve had in my life is when my dad talked to me about the “danger of knowing too much.” He said “if God wants us to understand things, He will reveal it Himself.” That was the last day I tried to discuss politics with him.

The past few times I’ve tried streaming I’ve had an anxiety attack booting up obs. Gonna need to try to find a way through that.

The current lie is that we’re dangerous. They don’t understand why we are, just that we are. A threat to their status quo, a threat to their safety. The people they trust said so, and that’s all that matters.
