Many times the protective order is taken out, but not effective until served. Those being threatened are afraid to serve the order because it triggers rage & deadly violence by perpetrator. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least to learn that more orders r taken out than served for this very reason.😢

2/ To watch them cater to their young, teach them how to eat and even play tug of war with a fish so they can know how to steal food to survive is amazing. We’ve seen so many beautiful teaching & loving moments. They are a real family unit in the bird world.

1/ This shows Jackie’s dedication to her eaglets last year. It is said that during one season, she did not leave the nest for 60+ hours and was literally buried in snow. Shadow, her dedicated mate, would bring her food. He is never far from her and an amazing dedicated eagle dad.

I happened to tune in when she laid the first egg in her previous clutch, and just happened to tune in as she was laying the first egg in her second clutch. I hope these babies survive & thrive. J&S are outstanding, dedicated eagle parents. BTW, I have donated.
