The worst part has been the radiation. With drive time it’s been 2 hours out of every weekday for six weeks and I ended up with three open burns plus one that was on its way to open but I think I stopped it. The fatigue is profound and it hurts. I’m slowly starting to heal. 2/2

Cancer update: I had two surgeries because they didn’t get the margins on the first one, and finished radiation on Tuesday. I am theoretically cancer free. I’m supposed to go on an aromatase inhibitor in August but I am considering delaying it. 1/2

I was even offered a meal train that never happened. There are a few people that helped with things here and there and one friend that helped with getting my place ready for surgery recovery, but 99% of the time, I have been doing this alone 3/3

I discovered that “let us know if you need anything” is just something my imaginary friends say. It’s great to keep in touch but it’s become clear to me that I need to make more friends in the physical world —FB friends aren’t that. 2/3

I deactivated FB again. I went back after my cancer diagnosis in February for community. I’ve been most able to manage things but the after effects of radiation have been debilitating and my kid is moving back so I’ve been asking for help. 1/

There is some speculation among us in California that many of the thugs are not actually agents, but are bounty hunters cosplaying as agents or are deputized. I can tell you also that everyone I know in CA has hated CBP and ICE as long as I can remember so the resistance is no surprise.

They think intimacy means sex rather than something needed for sex. I tried to tell my ex — sex requires vulnerability but he used my vulnerability to beat me down. If I couldn’t trust him while vulnerable I wasn’t going to have sex with him.

You should see if you can get a free consult with an attorney. Many do virtual now. I know nothing about the law in your state but here there are emergency orders you could get, including for fees. You need to know what your rights and options are.

Here you would still be expected to refinance at a certain point.

Your state may not allow you to waive child support. Unfortunately I’m in CA so I can’t help much. A child support order may help you qualify along with spousal support, if that is an option. In CA, property could be used to settle spousal but not child.

Interesting. Usually they like lakes but if there are fish in the river, I’m sure that will do. There are a number of lakes near me so we see osprey pretty regularly. A lot of raptors in general with Coopers probably the most common.

Do you have a body of water nearby? I’m not surprised at your variety considering the wild/native planting you are doing. More bugs and more seeds. I had to learn the native flower lesson in my herb garden to get the pollinators.

So much space and work. I’m focusing on herbs and just hoping to barter if it comes to that. I do have a tub of potatoes and thinking about adding another, and some peppers, but I am realistic about what I can put into it.

FWIW, a lot of us here take issue with those checkpoints too but they have been found to be constitutional. Can’t just ask for papers there either. However a visual inspection or dogs may give rise to a suspicion of secretly carrying produce, drugs, or people.
