Here’s a tutorial on how to download your ebooks off of Amazon. You can use Calibre (free software) to reformat the kindle books to be used on other devices.

Why do smoke detectors scream when you give them new batteries? Why not a pleasant chime? Instead they yell, with their harsh beep, “WTF? I didn’t ask to be born!” (This after crying all night about not having juicy batteries. Not feeling bad about tossing them into the yard at 4am.)

This year's Japanese Maple Project is afoot, but in a much more relaxed way, and with 4 camellias along for the ride. Seeds from Butterfly, Bloodgood, Tamukeyama, and the neighbor's upright green Japanese maple. The camellia seeds are from a pink Yuletide. 🌱
