Okay so hard surface modelling is... kinda hard. At least for me lol. I don't have the "Oh, I'll just retopologize it after the sculpt" plan, because it already is the model. So precision is a must. Also made him leaner. 🤷‍♂️

Ever since I've reached the big 3.0, my vision isn't what it once was. Today at the grocery store, I saw a hunk (I think) not too far from me but I can't make out his face. It's like he's a big WIP sculpt/sketch. Not too detailed but nice enough. I then realize I might need to start wearing glasses.

Oh lol, thanks. The poses are actually based on the art/refs Dom gave me at least. I believe it's Volkmist, Kitnkamoodle, uh I actually dunno the artist I referenced the 3rd pose from but they all are art of him.

No hdri, just a Background node set to white. I don't really include the effects of the lighting on the end of the baking process, just the Background node and a shader using an Ambient Occlusion and Color Ramp.

Just well placed lights lol. And it's just maxed out metallics and low roughness from the Principled BSDF.

I've never ever modeled weapons before so forgive me if this looks uh amateurish. & finally he's textured and rigged... mostly. I just have to fix the weights on those scales. No amount of addons helps except doing it by hand. 😭 @kilyion.bsky.social
