Just watched a clip of the training and noticed a lot more work with the ball. Usually on Celtictv it just shows you a lot of running about.

Agreed about the different standards but I was giving an opinion on those 2 incidents. The Scales one shouldn't have been given, especially after var got involved. We got away with a couple of similar incidents against Feyenoord, both were not given correctly by the referee so no var required.

First one isn't a penalty as he is pulling his arm away from the ball and isn't making his body bigger. Second one is different as his hand is going towards the ball and making his body bigger. I'm not a referee but I'm positive that's what the rules say....

I think Mc Gregors reaction says it all. Why did var not get involved again ? Surely they should have stopped the game to see if the referee has made a mistake, that's their job, isn't it ?

Was this even looked at for a red card ? You can clearly see that Daizen has won the ball, he's then been taken out in a dangerous and very mistimed manner.

A bit of consistency would be nice but it will never happen.

The handball was similar to the one that Feyenoord didn't get against Mc Gregor. He seemed to be moving his hand away from the ball. Correct decision although it might have different if it was against us.
