We used to have at least one every season breaking through. We don't have the monopoly any more because the best young players are all tied to English clubs nowadays. When was the last time there was a player from the lower leagues breaking through ? Maybe Shankland in the past 10 years.

It seems to be different here, more integration. More job opportunities. The Dutch aren't stupid as there are so many industries reliant on unskilled workers.

I'm one of them and believe me it is a far better standard of living in the Netherlands. More work and pay is very good in most instances. Housing can be a problem in the bigger cities but usually more affordable if you move to the smaller, usually nicer as well, towns and villages.
