The Bushwick Ortho doctor’s office does not have a window, so we tried to bring in as much light as possible through a polycarbonate wall that filters light from the large windows in the waiting room.

We felt that every moment at Bushwick Ortho should feel like a special experience. The brushing station is complete with built in toothbrush holders and funky millwork. Warped metal at the backsplash creates a tunnel effect.

One of the main goals for this project was to make a comfortable and welcoming space that feels more hospitality than hospital. The waiting lounge feels more like a living room than your typical waiting room.

We worked with the doctors to pick unique objects and books to fill the shelves in the waiting lounge. A dentist barbie. A troll doll. A bust of David wearing headgear. Everything was chosen carefully to tell a story about who they are as doctors and as people.

Your first view as you walk into Bushwick Ortho is of the reception desk and bookshelves curated with fun #tchotchkes that give patients a look into the lives of the doctors and support staff.
