Absolutely! I am not surprised. I just want the Scottish people to open their eyes and see the reality of what is going on. Just now, far too many people believe the MSM whitewash of Scotland. Nonsense like "the broad shoulders of the union". Hey, ho... maybe England will want to get rid of us... 🀞🏻

Amazing how most things with economic benefit go to England with Scotland retaining the things that have detrimental environmental or political outcomes. Apparently even England, with raw sewage in its rivers, can stomach neither the dangers of radioactive leaks nor the housing of nukes. Hmm.

Radioactive water 'leaked into loch' from Coulport nuclear base Sepa files say said the issues at Coulport, which date back to a pipe burst in 2010, were caused by

So, there was no unsafe release of radioactive material into Loch Long... but there WAS an accidental release of radioactive material! Given the cavalier lack of care that seems to have been taken, do we feel deep trust for those responsible? Scotland needs indy and the removal of these weapons.

Who got the best trade deal with the US - the EU or UK? The EU and UK both concluded trade agreements with the US almost three months apart setting new tariffs on their imports. According to the Commission, the EU got the better deal.

Interesting reading when considering the UK-US trade deal v the EU-US deal. The headline figure shows lower tariffs for the UK but the EU has a lower tariff for certain items. And, for example, the EU won't compromise by making deals on US beef and ethanol. Brexit benefit fail, again.

Such a fantastic thing to do. This can represent a way out of poverty that would not be possible without the tuition fees being free to students.

BBC Scotland corrects more errors than all other BBC UK branches combined BBCΒ Scotland issued more error corrections in the past year than all of the broadcasters’ other UK regional and nationalΒ offices combined ...

The BBC are hostile to an independent Scotland. Their 'stories' have led to BBC Scotland having more error corrections being carried out by them than all the other regional and national offices COMBINED. Hard to see how they could be that careless... Might make some of us a bit sceptical...

I feel sorry for all those who suffered yesterday though it was good that many of us did not get it as bad as expected. I did take it quite badly that this was happening in the middle of summer! The world's weather gets ever more extreme.

It looked like it was going to get bad, just as I was headed out. We could hear the wind but it died away by midday. It never got that scary loud way where you can imagine the roof of the house coming off! We were very lucky on this occasion. πŸ™

Ah, sorry! Hope you have no damage. Like many others in the central belt, it was a bit of a damp squib for us. It never really got that windy, nor that wet. I had to go out late morning and I thought it would be awful. In the end, it was quite sunny! We seem to have found a sheltered place to stay.

It's a point of view... might be just a tad harsh... πŸ˜‚ Anyway, I hope that the damage is reparable. Only time will tell. Ideally, I would like to see positive movement this year, before next year's HR vote.

I wouldn't disagree. I would say those feelings give rise to the disconnect between the level of SNP support - around 30+% - and the level of independence support - around 50+%. Would that it were not so. The need to escape the union is more pressing than ever.

I understand your frustration. My difficulty is that the Scottish Greens don't see independence as a red line. They would negotiate with unionist parties who would support their green agenda. Their choice OK but voting for a party who may abandon indy does not seem any improvement on an SNP vote.

Yes! 60 mph winds with gusts in excess of 70 mph expected. I don't know if you are familiar with the temporary structure that they use to seat the audience but I would not like to be there with those wind speeds.

I am very interested in Liberation Scotland's pursuit of decolonisation for Scotland. Indy is needed now more than ever before.

From my experience, some English people view England, Great Britain and the UK as the same thing. Anyone with that viewpoint will not be bothered about taking an English identity. It was Sunak who said that he always thought of British as shorthand for English. (I presume that he can't count to 8.)

03.08.2025 10:31 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Due to the relative sizes of the countries, it's a unitary state that can only work for Scotland if we want the same things as England. Sadly, we do not. Johnston? Truss? Farage? Brexit? This has led to, in my opinion, an intolerable situation where Scotland gets a very poor deal for its membership.
