The sheer hypocrisy of Alexander is breathtaking! The WM government are always interfering with devolved issues and feel entitled so to do. More double standards...

No argument from me!

Yep. Good point. Boris Johnston and Donald Trump have sailed close to the wind with foreign powers in the past. Nothing happened... To paraphrase: something is rotten in the state of the UK.

It's worse than that... it's TORY MP's entitlement! ๐Ÿ˜›

Andrew in line for six-figure payout and annual stipend from king, sources say The former prince remains under scrutiny as Buckingham Palace finalises plans for his future as a commoner

In all of these actions there is a severe lack of people raising the issue of any alleged perpetrators facing legal action. There are many more than Andrew Windsor in the Epstein files. There appears to be a two-tier justice system where the rich and powerful are not expected to be held to account.

I am having a blockfest tonight. So sick of utter unionist nonsense being spouted as fact. Time for independence.

No need for explanations, thanks. If I need patronised I will ask someone capable of actually doing it. The โ€˜not in the first five yearsโ€™ argument is common. Not just now. Maybe later. Wheeled out when a WM party may want support from the SNP. Used before and will be again, doubtless.

General election 2019: Corbyn rows back on indyref2 comments Jeremy Corbyn had ruled out a Scottish independence referendum in a Labour government's first term.

I would be stunned if he permitted a second indy ref. (Not that he will get the chance.) He opposes Scottish independence. And he has not always supported an indy ref. He has always flip-flopped around. But, hey, donโ€™t let the truth get in the way here!

Reasoned and adult discussion? You did not participate in a discussion - you โ€˜toldโ€™ us your jaundiced and generalised view on โ€˜nationalismโ€™ with nothing to back up your assertions. Anyway, time for sensible indy discussion that doesnโ€™t involve wars and such silliness.

25.10.2025 18:55 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Ah! Simple dogmatic assertion. Always trumps reasoned argument. Playing with words is all yours! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I will keep laughing, thanks for offering.

25.10.2025 17:44 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 3    ๐Ÿ” 1    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I agree. I laugh at this โ€˜divisionโ€™ notion. Indy supporters want a different thing from unionists. Differences of opinion are normal in politics. Labour and Tories - supporters of either could claim that supporters of the other are divisive! One side of a debate is divisive; the other not? Hmmm.. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

25.10.2025 17:12 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 5    ๐Ÿ” 2    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Baffling assertion. They have done and will do nothing to help Scottish independence.
Time to stop elected politicians changing party mid-session unless they are re-elected via by-election. If voters choose candidates based on policies then it should not be assumed that a 180 degree u-turn is OK.

The Thatcherism that was so admired by much of Labour before last yearโ€™s general election? Rightโ€ฆ Obviously not sure if itโ€™s a good or bad thing, then. A bit like saving Grangemouth, apparently.

23.10.2025 15:31 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Successive WM governments have shown themselves to be self-serving and anti-Scottish. Itโ€™s not about what Scotland wants or needs; it is about what England wants. I note that they donโ€™t want nuclear weapons nor Prince Andrew.

23.10.2025 10:31 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 2    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

And, of course, any radioactive pollution will be covered up as for nuclear weapons. I cannot understand how anyone living in Scotland can possibly think that continuing in the toxic union is acceptable.

County lines gangs and pedophiles. Such bounty we get from down south.
Independence is needed urgently.

If the Scottish Government have to pay for Trumpโ€™s visit then they should have had the right to veto said visit.

Well, the fans may be reprehensible- most certainly - but Nandyโ€™s position on this is incomprehensible! Labour - a party in flux. (Almost totally fluxed, I believe.)

More than half of Scots want #IndyRef2 โ€” not because of flags or slogans, but because their wallets got thinner and their future got smaller under Westminster. Energy wealth stolen, exports crippled, wages stagnant. Independence isnโ€™t rebellion โ€” itโ€™s economic selfโ€‘defence.

20.10.2025 04:41 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 125    ๐Ÿ” 39    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 4    ๐Ÿ“Œ 1

I donโ€™t agree with Foulkesโ€™ assessment. No, the Scottish Govโ€™t are not trying to make services better than down south, specifically. They are, simply, trying to make things better than before here. Things in England do look worse but that is down to the actions of WM. Are they doing it deliberately?

I agree that they don't work in the best interests of the UK. Supporting genocide isn't just a bad look. It should have consequences.

19.10.2025 07:01 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 1    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

That would be nice. Fingers crossed.
Did you get anywhere with what we talked about the other day? Curious...

19.10.2025 06:50 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yes, absolutely. I would love the Greens to get in down south. Not only would it be a breath of fresh air for them, we would get a new referendum. Win-win I would call that.

19.10.2025 06:40 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Entitlement? They really think that they're special. Starmer even waded in to the ban of Maccabi football fans which came about due to police intelligence of thuggery. It wasn't a political act yet he is trying to change the decision. I expect he'll have a veto over next year's Eurovision entry.

19.10.2025 06:30 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 3    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Meanwhile, the population feel shame at the actions of the WM Government. I wonder if Starmer can look at himself in a mirror?
