The advantage that companies hold with digital content is that they can do whatever they want with it, including deleting, modifying and restricting access to it. (n/n).

But if digital content is going to be priced this way, then we are truly losing out on autonomy because by design, it would be more convenient to consume digital content, and the content you own will be deliberately phased out. (3/n)

These "other" sources keep shutting down and Amazon's push for their devices is downright aggressive. I have been left with little-to-no choice but to purchase ebooks from Amazon and keep a copy for myself through some means (IFYKYK). (2/n)

A few days ago I had posted on Reddit about the fact that Kindle ebooks are no longer priced lower than their paperback counterparts. Some people in the comments ask me to find other sources.

I love the food, the culture, the community and all that India has to offer, but I don't see how I can find it to be peaceful when I want to step away from the obligations and live a life of my own.

I don't see an opening where one might critique the poor work done by the government and get away with it. Forget about the government's accountability.

This has often made me think that India, at least for a little while, is not the place to be in the long term.

The amount of politicial commentary on platforms like Twitter and Instagram has substantially increased in the last decade. At times, I have been a part of it myself.

I started solving problems on Leetcode.

ChatGPT is helping me is by converting my logic into code. I don't know how to write code, so I'm employing it to solve problems by giving it my logic for the solution and instructing it strictly to not suggest anything around that logic.

Finishing this week with a 12K and 41K overall! A first in ages.

People call out spreadsheets and their capability to consume lives, but spreadsheets are beautiful.

I don't know why companies fail to understand this in 2025 and feel that only showing off your work is more important, when it isn't if there is nothing to show.

Strava is a software company first whose moat is a social environment for athletes. Garmin on the other hand, has a physical product as a moat which is tried and tested by millions of people. That product adds more value than a social media platform.

Strava suing Garmin over some patented features which few runners might care about (imo) is going to be disastrous for the former.

I wanted to run a 10K last evening but rains washed out my plans. So I made up for them by running this morning.

Extremely loud processions in the middle of the night, people and kids bursting firecrackers throughout the day and people doing discussions in large groups, in the open, in the name of festivities is killing the peace of mind of those who just want to live a simple life.

I'm not a religious man, but I don't disrespect anyone's faith.

The most disrespect and disregard that I have seen for public in general these days is coming from people who are more religiously inclined, especially during this year's festive season.

There's no physical publishing happening here. The books are not being imported. Yet many of them are priced the same for a kindle edition in both geographies, India and their home country (more often than not, the US).

I understand that hardovers which are being imported to India would be more expensive than their Indian published paperback and hardcover counterparts, but why are the kindle editions not priced for less in India?
