Tricking the First, Second & Third of the Fallen (basically the comic's versions of the devil since Lucifer is a vertigo character too) into curing his lung cancer and gaining semi demonic protection in the process

The only thing is, everyone around him becomes unlucky and more often than not dies horribly or has something terrible happen to them. John's like the world's biggest disaster bisexual (who dated King Shark at one point) and he's the best <3

Happy endings aren't really a thing for John since he seems to destroy everything he touches, and since he's a Synchronicity Wave Rider, he's supernaturally lucky and is always in the right place at the right time to metaphorically kick ass because he's canonically useless in a fight

John Constantine first appeared in Swamp Thing as a chain smoking asshole and eventually got his own comic series in 1988 from the same comic publisher!! I like him because he's pretty and smart and he deserves all the love in the world because nothing ever turns out right for him

In my defence, technically the day isn't over yet in other countries and also I zoned out like three times thinking about him over the day so he got those love vibes
