The June 23rd one appears to be uploaded by someone else, and is marked as Spanish. I'm not sure if they just re-uploaded it or actually translated it.

FYI, seems like the in-game save menu in Castlevania II is not compatible with Snes9x. No idea why since it's fine on original hardware. Passwords should still work.
30.11.2025 03:21 β π 11 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0No plans for any other major features, enjoy!
30.11.2025 01:54 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Honestly I can't believe I didn't realize how much stuff you walk behind in the NES game. I've speedran that game, I made the randomizer, I've played it hundreds of times. I guess my eyes just ignored that ><
30.11.2025 01:21 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And now a fix for my latest game! I missed the knockback sound effect (actually all dcpm sfx, and am going to go back and see if CV2 uses any more). I've rectified the situation and updated both archive.org and mega.nz locations with the latest file. Music disabled in this clip to demonstrate.
30.11.2025 01:20 β π 21 π 3 π¬ 3 π 0mega.nz and archive.org have been updated with the new versions. I briefly tested all of these, and they all seem good, but as always if anyone finds any issues, please let me know =D
29.11.2025 23:21 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Aside from the controller support, a few games I tweaked the audio engine to improve some sound effects.
For LifeForce I updated the image in the options screen.
And finally, in Kid Icarus I finally fixed the bug where sprites weren't properly going behind BG tiles:
I just finished uploading new versions of my first 8 ports (everything up to Castlevania 1/2).
Most of the games got only a minor change in how I read the joypad data in order to support more modern controllers like the Limted Run Games Rumble controller
I'll outline other changes in replies here!
yay! enjoy!
29.11.2025 21:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0should support it fine. I've used an FXPak for all my save testing.
Make sure your SD card isn't locked, since it would need to write to a new SRAM file for it. But if other games are saving that probably isn't it. That's about the only thing I could think of that would cause it =(
Hitting select while on the inventory should bring up the save menu. What platform are you playing on?
29.11.2025 01:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In general yeah, and I try to build all my games to fit on standard 4MB HiRom boards ( @mousebitelabs.bsky.social has some great ones that I use) without any special chips.
If you like what I do, and want to buy me a Mocha, feel free to toss me a tip here: ko-fi.com/rumbleminze
Note that this wouldn't support the MSU-1 options for obvious reasons.
27.11.2025 01:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You mean like this?
27.11.2025 01:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Nintendo acknowledging that Kid Icarus exists?! it's a Thanksgiving Miracle!
Now remake Uprising with modern controls!
I get them from the library. I hope you're ok with that too; libraries are freaking great! Thank you for providing me with word-based entertainment and sensible chuckles
26.11.2025 03:04 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0No plans yet, but I did learn the speedrun of that game for a Big 20, it's pretty fun!
26.11.2025 01:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I know I've had some improvements to the sound engine I would like to backport to my previous ports, but the sound via the emulator is never going to be perfect. I'll probably do msu1 clean versions going forward, but I don't know if I'll go back and add them to my previous ports.
25.11.2025 19:12 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Todd's stuff is great! I highly recommend browsing through the store, you're bound to find something amazing that you didn't even realize you've been missing!
25.11.2025 16:26 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well, for starters 2 is much more nostalgic for me personally. I never played 3 growing up. Secondly 3 uses the MMC5 mapper which will be much much more challenging (if it's even possible) to port.
25.11.2025 14:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Love the coverage, but the thumbnail says CV III, which will be a much larger ask :D
25.11.2025 14:05 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0How is Dumb & Dumber not on this list?
24.11.2025 14:26 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0of course, that's why I specifically said "the character", and not James.
24.11.2025 14:15 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Here's an interview with Lloyd, aka Infidelity. It was really cool getting to talk to him about all of his projects, from Legend Of Link to his NES to SNES ports! Just search any app for "RetroRGB Infidelity", or head to the main post here: https://retrorgb.com/interview-with-infidelity.html
24.11.2025 10:01 β π 26 π 9 π¬ 1 π 0As always, all my NES to SNES ports are open source.
The last step after every port is cleaning it up, and backporting improvements to my template. There were over 750 builds to get this port out. And a LOT of things learned and improved along the way.

most of the games the AVGN character chastised were not nearly as bad as he made them out to be. which is fine, it was part of the character. But lots of people run way too far with it.
I think the original CV2 is great, just a bit obtuse.
I hope you enjoy it!
As always, all of my hacks are available here:
