Sometimes I really hate myself because in the last 3 months I’ve been HYPED about 1) moving to NC, 2) building a barndominium in some random rural area, and 3) researching new communities not too far from our current home…

All because we need more space and I love where we live but I also hate it.

Pro-life until birth. After that? Good luck kid. These pro lifers don’t care about children. If they did, they won’t be screaming “radical” when the idea of free school lunch for all kids k-12. They only care about controlling women. Then again, talking to MAGAts is like talking to a wall. 🤦🏽‍♂️

I know it’ll pass by quicker than I can fathom. One day, he’ll be grown and my house will be quiet and a little lonely.

But, for the moment, we’re in the messy middle & I’m tired, feeling defeated more often than not, and doubting myself constantly.

I am in an EXHAUSTING season of motherhood right now.

I’m navigating my son’s recent ADHD diagnosis & also navigating the process of trying to get him support in school.

We’re doing occupational therapy twice a week. He does tutoring once a week. And next week we start soccer back up again.

To be clear, I will not be watching the Super Bowl.

Ok those are the most annoying offenses from this weekend I can think of right now. Do better.

2. The left lane is intended for PASSING. If you wanna cruise, stay in the middle or right lanes depending on your speed.

3. You do not stop in a roundabout unless there’s a stop sign or a car with the right of way driving in the roundabout. Y’all are out here making full stops & waiting for cars.

I feel pretty confident saying so because I was initially taught by my older sister but my parents hired a driving instructor to make sure I was prepared to take my driving test.

1. You don’t hold onto the brake when turning right. You slow down with the brake, let go of it, & roll into your turn.

So I don’t go out on the road very often b/c I work remote FT. But this weekend I spent a lot of time out with friends. And I’ve decided the reason the vast majority of you don’t drive well is because you were taught by your parent(s), guardian(s), sibling(s), etc. who also can’t drive for shit.

A blog can be a lot harder to monetize than a YouTube channel but your children should not be your vehicle for making money. Monetize your hobbies before you monetize your children.

the right place. I think a blog is a better place for this type of content. It helps families to avoid showing/filming private parts of their lives, including their kids, and limits the temptation to be rewarded with monetization for exploiting their vulnerable, unable to consent kids.

Earlier this week, I started watching the docuseries “An Update on Our Family” on HBO Max and I am reaffirmed in my belief that family vlogging is deeply problematic. I can appreciate and understand the argument that seeing content can make people feel less alone but social media platforms are not

The universe owes us a Bills Super Bowl. Should probably be Bills-Commanders. That won't make up for everything else—not even close—but at least it's something.
