Tip: it helps if you have a specific bill number or petition number in mind. For example, the DHS funding bill that just passed the House a few days ago is HR 7147 and is going to the Senate. Tell your guy that you're against funding ICE, and mention the bill number.

Feel like I'm preaching to the choir here, but it's so important that you call your reps. I'm saying this because are many people in my life who listen to me say this all the time, but ultimately still don't do it.

For me, I've found donating to organizations and mutual aid groups or to people who just need some extra money to get by is a real sanity-saver in these times of feeling helpless but full of rage.
