kids are often told how mature they are for their age and they take it to heart because it often feels like nobody respects them, so being seen as mature is the "ticket" to being seen as anything close to a person with thoughts. and you wanna keep that title so bad, you'll do anything to prove it

i think the saddest thing is how children so desperately want their autonomy respected, and predators take active advantage on it. because society does not respect children and their thoughts, they are more vulnerable to be exploited, and it is horrific how The Files confirm this

Random, but I haven’t been feeling great lately and the news about the Chikn Nuggit series from today has soured my mood further.
