seem to be quite a few Italian chains opening in London. see Indegno on brick lane — 2 spots in Bologna and they’ve opened their third here, with the new additions of some local classics: paneer and chicken tikka cresentine (sound quite good imo)

yes italia uno near my uni’s library is now the go-to - lovely Napoli couple and a great lunch!

this week, opened in the same spot,‘all’antico vinaio’ - identical sandwiches but now double the price and matched with a 400ft queue.

last summer I Camisa shut its doors for good, after opening in 1929 on Old Compton St.

previously my go-to spot to buy obscure pasta shapes, stock up on mutti, practice a little Italian or get a £5 sandwich or £2 coffee

as i understand it ‘April’ refers to the events in Italy in ’77, named after Maria Macchiocchi’s book.

obviously very close to Emery’s later pamphlet ‘after Marx, jail’ — given the events of March that year, as well as April 1979 in Italy, the two terms are near-synonymous

looking for some more info on the ‘after marx, april’ group who wrote ‘we want to riot, not to work’ and also put on conference with bifo, guattari etc. in camden in 81.

i don’t know much about that other than that it’s true! perhaps @grafton9.net knows some comrades involved

Huge number of police vans in vicinity of Kurdish Community Centre.

Following the raid by armed police on the Haringey Kurdish Community Centre in the early hours local people faced down a huge police presence on the streets surrounding the centre.
There will be a demonstration tomorrow Thursday 28th at 5pm from Turnpike Lane tube station.
