If someone hurts you (physically or emotionally), you cannot stop them or change it. You cannot control them. You can only control the way you act and the way you feel.

Despite this, I have tried to stay productive by taking on many different jobs and starting a startup, a YouTube channel, and online courses. I have also been working as a freelancer. In addition, I have been learning English and adopted a cat.

Everyone asks me about learning german and finding a job, but I am struggling with depression and find it difficult to go out, even for groceries.

During these years, I have struggled with feeling isolated and disconnected from others. While I had many connections and a sense of community in Iran, I have found myself feeling alone since coming to Germany.

I am a 31-year-old woman from Iran. After three years of struggling with depression, I have now started to make positive changes in my life so that I can become independent again and achieve my dreams.

I left my country due to the force of Islamic pressures in my life. After three years of ignoring my depression related to immigration, I have finally accepted my problem. I have come to realize that I am not a superhero and that I need help and rest.
