Thank you, I really needed that. I'm going to try and be kind to myself tonight 💜💜 I didn't manage to sit down and journal, but I'm going to try and do that tomorrow. I also want to have a little debrief with my coach when I see him.

That's very true. I admire their ability to express their feelings like that, and I wish I was more like them in that way 😊💜💜

Those sound like great processing strategies! I told myself that I'd sit down & journal tonight, but then I started doing other things, like emptying the dishwasher and putting away the laundry 😅

Please can someone tell my brain that it's okay to feel things. My response to big feelings is to suppress them & act strong, even when I'm deeply hurt.
I really want to process how I feel about today's competition, but instead, I'm here acting as if everything's fine when I'm really upset.

It's a beautiful and relaxing piece of music, and I'm sure they'd appreciate it, too. I also really like Ólafur Arnalds' 'Living Room Songs' - they're calm, yet atmospheric at the same time.

Today's competition was a lesson in resilience, if nothing else. I fenced 2/3 of my poule with a faulty weapon and then lost 15-3 to a teammate. I'm gutted that I didn't trust myself enough to contest the hits that felt off/like they should have been mine. Next time, I'll believe in myself more.
