Collectively, we are all human beings who deserve equal rights. They respond that way bc the op states “white ppl” as a whole and not all white ppl deserve to be grouped together in that context.

Treating an entire group of ppl based on the color of their skin, sex, religion, disabilities, etc is wrong no matter who is dishing it out.

Also some white people are truly horrified by how other white ppl have treated other races and marginalized ppl. Horrified by how some men have enslaved women in various cultures. How Hitler killed disabled ppl, Jews, & anyone he deemed undesirable.

Bc they want u to know they stand w/you. LGTBQ, Women, Disabled, various religions, etc have also faced horrible discrimination on this planet & in this country. It’s important to care about all who are oppressed in the fight for equal rights. They want u to know they don’t approve of oppression.
