i seriously have to mentally prepare for days to reread mizu/ena5 with voice acting for any reason because it’s so painfully heart breaking to me, especially that moment… like 90% of my comforting mizuki pieces are a result of how hard it (and tbh any other scene of her sad) hit me ^^;

unexpectedly watched a video with mizuki’s cry from ena5 in it. i am now haunted again.

i think it’d be beautiful to have kanade decide Who they are now that there’s freedom. maybe it’ll be uncomfortable at first, but kanade is also someone with all the metamorphosis symbolism after all. just as the other three, there will be something amazing that comes out of her cocoon too.

she has memory loss. she doesn’t think much of herself in any aspect and just wants to get through life in the easiest ways possible with little time to breathe or Live. her hair and clothes are just convenience. she engages in her hobbies for the sake of music composition.

DEFINITELYYY that’s something i think about so much too. kanade thinks she’s someone who has to save mafuyu but doesn’t realize the depths of HOW similar they are. kanade equally has little sense of identity because she’s dedicated nearly her whole life to helping others before herself.

SOMEONE has to care earnestly and deeply about this silly roach.

i’m sorry i have had so so many kanade thoughts and headcanons since i got into this game and i love rambling

but finds a freedom and like she’s got some sort of grasp on her identity by just Being and finding a way she most likes to Be. but this would be much after We Deal With Everything Else First.

DEFINITELY i’ve always seen her (him…) as somewhere on the nonbinary spectrum… something a bit fluid (i personally have different states of nonbinary i see myself as) or agender or even void-like… i think she can be any pronouns and not really care one way or another about presentation

sigh, well, i g- i mean… of course, if colopale is looking, i’d never do that… i love to buy discs with a large import cost without subtitles for my stupid native language.

maybe youtube’s search is just totally cooked because searching “nightcord at 25:00 movie scenes” or anything like that just pulls up total slop content.

i get there’s no way this would happen knowing how colopale is about their copyright but i wish there were compilations of unit scenes from the sekai movie on like. youtube… i like making silly amvs (that i never share) and it’s getting hard using just the anni amvs and those five min animations.

mizu5/ena5 is so major that i feel it’ll just become public knowledge/opinion to read the fan tls for the best and most accurate experiences, and the fandom has mostly shared those and those lines in fanworks and all so they won’t be forgotten. that’s my hope in any case! ^^

awh no i doubt that’ll be the case in any major way. there’s always gonna be a group of people who react more to this stuff and take it out in the wrong way, but a lot of people are just taking it as a sign to support fan tls more and really want to actually get the original story being told.

FOR SURE i’ve only relied on fan tls for stories and haven’t read an en niigo focus first since like ena2 LOL. this definitely doesn’t really spark confidence in wanting to rely on any other ensekai translations.

like you said, i thought mizu5 turned out better than i expected so the changes there were so strange to me. like part of me isn’t surprised, but just confused and disappointed how clunky and awkward it is.

the changes as a whole just become redundant. what makes niigo’s full bond so great is how strong they are individually in every duo and how they all help each other, but they want to suddenly avoid focusing on mizuena’s relationship too much in case it sounds romantic, and it’s just weird.

no need to apologize! it’s definitely so strange!! there was also a weird need to generalize some of the dialogue as “i want to be friends with all of niigo” rather than focusing on mzen’s bond, when there already IS a focus on niigo as a whole’s bond together in other lines and scenes.
