Someone's added some clumsy wavy yellow lines around the person's butt, presumably to denote the suggested farting. Gods damn, I really need to get off social media. This is how I'm spending my Saturday morning. I could be writing stories or something.

I'm not normally one to be too judgy on this sort of thing—I'm very aware that I'm also fortunate to have fairly ready access to food—but there's something weirdly 'Panem Capitol' about this.

What Thanksgiving Day represents in our home is a reminder that during the worst of times, be they shared or personal hardships, focusing on gratitude will carry us through to another day. That and we love an excuse to eat a meal comprised primarily of butter and cream.

A perfectly-browned turkey sits atop a baking sheet. Its skin is so crisp that it makes a sound if you hit it with a spoon. The meat is so tender, it practically melts in your mouth. There are also potato quarters scattered around the sheet — far fewer than the number we started with because I kept eating them as a snack while the turkey cooked.
