tested out some of procreates new pencils

wanted to use my alcohol markers so i picked out a few random colors

The moment after all of the drones were broken was the prime-time for idk, even an attempt to get through to it. It just made me sad and the movie moves on so easily

And for a movie that went out of its way to show that Superman would save all life even a squirrel, it makes no attempt for Clark to show sympathy or even an attempt at helping his literal *clone*, I expected at least something but literally nothing. It was all a Lex scene

I thought the punk rock line was so cringe but I guess appropriately cringe for Clark, just the way that line has trended and labels it as a "Hopepunk" movie just lets me know that it's not really meant to be a Clark thing but a more liberal & lame being kind is punk thing

It's also like... cartoony. Which makes it cute but jarring since it's not a cartoon. Not great for an actual movie with depth. The really obvious parallels to what's going on irl makes the cartoonish framing feel even weirder

With Superman for a cape movie it's pretty good. I'm happy to see Clark back to being a nice person. I liked that it doesnt waste time making too many jokes about the absurdity of the superhero genre and just goes with it. Guy was really funny

I don't like 90% of superhero movies bc in most of them the depth is implied, not even in a "show not tell" way it's just like cape movies generally feel like it's missing about an hour or so of development for its beats. theyre generally selling a concept to you
