the show’s only got 12 episodes so a lot of what makes it incredible is still being set up. for what it’s worth the manga is a very brisk read but I’m happy when people are willing to engage with the material in any way at all

I’d highly recommend reading the manga! exploitation and abuse is a major theme of the series but it’s largely through the POV of an impoverished, isolated teenager who has no way of knowing better. it’s incredible
