I have to keep myself busy to keep myself sane, but I end up overdoing it to the point I have no energy left to do anything else. It’s been a vicious cycle. 😭

My antidepressants were upped recently, and I’m not doing well ✨

I’ve been on the sick from work for over 4 weeks, I never used to be one to nap during the day but I’m oversleeping to the point of exhaustion. Appetite is all over the show & my mood swings are brutal, 😭

Youth Pride in Dundalk yesterday at the outcomers centre, started the day with a radio interview and #slurrygate was even a talking point in Dundalk. 🤣

Belfast City Council voting to remove the bonfire beside a hospital substation and also remove asbestos from the site and the DUP voting against this because they must always be on the wrong side of absolutely everything.

Yes we are! Looking forward to it. I’ve heard such great things about Outcomers. 🙌

We’re also expanding our outreach across the MEA Borough. If you’re in Carrick or nearby & fancy a sober, inclusive & safe space to broaden your horizons & meet likeminded people our new Queer Communi-tea social begins on August 12th!

Ballymena now has an up & running LGBTQ+ youth group that I’ll be working with. We’re going on a trip tomorrow to Dundalk, and I just think it’s so bloody brilliant to have these local services to support young people. This is the legacy I wanted @meapride.bsky.social to create. 🫶🏻

I’ve been promised a coffee chat with Mal after MEA Pride 2025 passes, and who knows what the future may hold. I’m keen to see a new form of progressive politics take shape across our council area, and it’s true that sometimes you have to be the change you want to see. 🫶🏻

After attending Omagh Pride recently and finally getting to meet Mal O’Hara (who has long been one of my political inspirations) - I finally felt I had found my political home. 👍

So I’ve joined the @greenpartyni.org 💚

So MEA Pride is & I hope will remain my long term priority, to grow and increase LGBTQ+ visibility across Mid & East Antrim is something of the upmost importance to me.
