Just listened to the super-interesting keynote talk by Sapna Khatti about the weaponisation of technology to foster digital surveillance at #soups2023. Great talk on this cybersecurity & privacy issue!

Now on my way to Anaheim for SOUPS and USENIX Security 2023. More than 12h in planes is quite a bit, but looking forward to meeting everyone at the conferences!

I co-supervised a uni student recently who was able to get professional certifications during a company project. Definitely a motivator and value for him. But it was an audit company so they could do the certification in-house. Not sure if it is reasonable otherwise…
