Hello! Life has been life-ing, but I’m determined to sit down and finish my many WIPs I’ve got going on. How’s everyone doing?

It’s been a rough 12 days and I haven’t felt creative at all, but I think maybe I’ll try to avoid the horrors of the world and write a little this weekend. Anyone else feeling like it’s hard to focus on creating anything?

Last week was the longest week in the history of all weeks, and can we just live in precedented times?

I guess it’s a good thing that I’m too introverted to really engage in the “community” on any major level. I just want to write, and I hate marketing myself, so maybe I’ve avoided those people. Good thing bc I don’t want to ruin my reading experiences by knowing the author sucks as a person!

Me, with a full time job and also writing books, sitting at 237 books read so far this year: 🙃

I’ve always done my own covers (designed and/or done the artwork) which I guess if that’s not “professional” enough, so be it. I’m thinking of hiring out to do an upcoming quartet of books, but that’s potentially scary bc how do you know the cover artist won’t use AI?

There were crows foraging in my backyard, and I’ve always wanted a murder, so I threw out a few handfuls of in shell peanuts for them. I momentarily forgot my dog’s utter hatred of birds, and mistakes were made.

Happy Monday morning! It’s a rainy, grey day where I’m at, and I’m stuck staring at excel worksheets for work. How’s everyone else doing?

I forced myself to sit down with my laptop today and managed to get 1400 words in. After the hellscape for creativity that’s been November so far, I’ll call that a win.

I like it, but it’s def rushed. I did tear up at a few points in the last couple episodes, tho, so I don’t think the writing sucks, it’s just a different feel than season 1.
