A 3D printed damping mechanism inserted into the end of a paper towel roll on a dispenser

A 3d printed damping mechanism for a paper towel roll consisting of split concentric circles and springs

Designed a damping mechanism to keep my paper towel roll from completely unraveling when attempting to tear off a sheet. One of these inserted at each end of the roll adds sufficient tension.

Utilizes a living hinge to get the inner circle around the dispenser and compression springs.
