It's very funny to me how Chibiusa, her girlfriend, and her future squad all awoke as Sailor Soldiers after going through a villain phase 😂

Even just the stuff with Professor Tomoe is pretty wild, but in general I feel like the Bandai musicals were never afraid to go balls-to-the-wall exercising their creative freedom. (Not necessarily always for the better, but you can't say they were never entertaining!)

I've wanted to do a video on these musicals for years, but as you explained, trying to coherently summarize the insanity that is the Dracul trilogy is nigh on impossible. And yet, like you, I can't help but love what a hot mess it all is. Great video, as always 💖

I get that they were trying to make Venus all of the Outers rolled into one, which I don't think was a bad concept for the series per se, but now that we've done it once, we don't need to do it again. Let Minako be Minako!

4. Princess Serenity's dress

3. Proper Youma, please!

While I enjoy some of the youma in the original live action series, overall, they're extremely basic. Unlike other tokusatsu, they don't speak or even have proper names, and most of them lack a clear 'gimmick.' Where's the fun? Where's the vision?

2. Age-appropriate Queen Beryl!

I love Aya Sugimoto, but she was 15 years older than Jouji Shibue. It's weird to me how fans complain about the Usagi-Mamoru age gap but never about the Mamoru-Beryl age gap. They should be the same age!

I'd also like to see Reika and Unazuki included, along with the main supporting characters from the Sailor V manga (Natsuna, Wakagi, Hikaru, and maybe Amano). Keep Miss Haruna more manga-accurate and have her interact with her (presumed) sister.

1. Include all the characters!

Papa Kenji, Grandpa Hino, Umino, and Queen Serenity were all cut from the first series (Kenji and QS appeared in the Special Act straight-to-video film), so that's a wrong that definitely needs to be righted.

If Cutie Honey can get another live action series, so can Sailor Moon. Even a standard drama run of 10 hour-long episodes would do more justice to the Dark Kingdom arc than Crystal's disastrous 1:1 adaptation attempt. Anyway, here's my wish list for a second live action series:
