Thank you for the reminder of this context! Baltimore is going through a similar…transformation. The major city govt arts organization was doing programming & grants, it was not working well. The organization is still in the process of being untangled to better serve the arts community.

You know you’re from Baltimore when you’re bonding with someone about walking or biking to work, then one of you says “but I give a lot of space to cars with VA tags” & the other person is like “mmhmm not messing with that.”

Today was the first day in almost 4 decades of life that I used "find and replace." My middle school had a class where we learned how to use Word and Excel. I have no idea how today was my first day doing this.

Totally agree and have serious opinions about this debacle...but also remember the last big publicity push of a book with "American" as part of the two word title 😂
