How does Garrett Stank still have a job as an NHL official? The more I see him officiated, the less I care for him as an official. He should stick to the golf course

NHL officiating is shit. Strom grabs Anderson at the end of the first. No call. Should have been a four on three power play for Montreal. Wilson charges Evans and hits him high. That could have been an elbow or a charge. No call.

And two failed clearing attempts leads to a Washington goal

Habs had more shots in the final 5 minutes of the first period(6) then they did through the first 15 (2). This team needs to figure this stuff out. I know all teams go through something like this, but the good teams find a way. Montreal is a good team. They just need to relax and play their game

The Habs have given up 13 straight goals in the last five or so periods of play. They've also hit a couple of posts in the first period against Boston. One wonders how long before this drought is broken

And how long can they continue with this porous D?

I knew the Habs were headed for a "market correction" at some point but I didn't expect it to happen with 10 consecutive goals by the visitors over back-to-back games.

Having said that, some bounces have not been going their way. They get a couple of bounces and things look completely different

MacDermid isn't there to play hockey. The puck was 60 ft away going in the other direction and all he was concerned about was trying to get into a fight with X.

They should throw him out of the game. No call for that kind of garbage on a clean hit. I'd say the same thing if a Montreal player reacted like that.

9 power plays for the Habs and only two goals to show for it? They need to start capitalizing on these opportunities.

Montreal proved a lot of doubters and a lot of the so-called experts wrong. There's still some missing pieces but I think this season showed a lot of players around the league that Montreal will be a team to reckon with for many years to come.

I'm so proud to be a fan of this hockey team and I consider myself lucky to be able to watch their progression. I can't be upset. Disappointed? Sure but at the end of the day there's no reason to be upset.

How is the Reilly x-checking penalty only 2 mins and not 5 and a game?

I feel like he's playing the game too much in his head. He's at the top of his profession and he got there through hard work. He's overthinking things. He needs to clear his head, let his instincts take over and just play the game

Somebody needs to tune up Tommy Ballerina. If Josh or Arber get their hands on him...

It amazes me how quickly some of these kids are adapting to play off hockey. The patience Demidov showed to take the puck around behind the net...and look for a play is terrific

And it looked like his left skate caught a rut just before the hit. If he can't come back, that play is going to resonate throughout the series

Potentially losing Carrier is going to be a massive hole for Montreal to fill
