More than 70% of Australians saw misleading ads during the election campaign - poll - The Australia Institute A new poll conducted for The Australia Institute has found that 72% of voters saw misleading political advertisements during the recent election campaign, with well over half of those exposed to misle...

Nearly 3 in 4 Australians saw misleading ads during the election campaign, our new research found.

The issue could be addressed with truth in political advertising laws, like those in South Australia and the ACT. #auspol

If you missed 4Corners, the Liberal Party has admitted that their cruel and toxic No campaign against the Indigenous Voice which set reconciliation back a generation was aimed at beating the Albanese govt in the election. We all knew that, but it’s fascinating to hear them admit it out loud!

Yes. Spot on.

I’m still heartbroken.

To be clear. I’m white. I’m so devastated I cry about it.

Then I think how indigenous people might feel and I just…. Could go to bed.

Scary monsters: "wealth tax" "not indexed so it will include average wages" "bracket creep" "unrealised gains" "a toe in the water" ... ffs, the rate changes after $3 million, that's all.

btw companies pay tax on profits, not the number of staff, cars, machinery or computers.

Narcissism can’t always be fixed – but you can heal after being hurt by it | Bianca Denny A narcissist’s shadow is a cold and lonely place to find oneself. What’s essential is to develop coping skills and management strategies * The modern mind is a column where experts discuss mental health issues they are seeing in their work It is observed quite often that many people seek therapy to navigate the challenges posed by those who refuse to do the same. Cassie, a 35-year-old mother of two, was one such patient. Blind-sided by the abrupt end of her decade-long marriage, Cassie described her estranged husband, Michael, as a β€œfull-blown narcissist” – charming, grandiose, entitled and self-centred. A senior barrister, Michael represented a slew of high-profile clients and was renowned for his arrogance, both in and out of the courtroom. Continue reading...

Yeah.

I live in a semi-rural area and I deliberately don’t see many people because I’m immunocompromised. So being in a busy hospital waiting area freaked me out.

Luckily I didn’t wait long at all so the risk was lower.
