@fcain.universetoday.com Saw your Leo Triplet with the S50 at the end of one of your vids so thought I'd share this one to give you an idea of the S30s capabilities as well.

Leo Triplet

Some more Seestar S30 action from the dark skies of Nusa Lembongan in beautiful Indonesia 🇮🇩. The tiny aperture of the S30 isn't really suited to galaxy work but I thought I'd give it a go. 🔭

Clear skies all!

And I did exactly that with the Askar C2 and @altairastro.bsky.social 4nm Dual Narrowband Ha Oiii in my "Hubble-a-like" Bubble Nebula image 😀

In the top left of the first image you can see the Elephant's Trunk Nebula and there is some lovely dark nebulas in amongst this widefield.

Shot from my backyard with the Samyang 135mm f/2 lens and the Touptek ATR2600C, Altair 4nm Dual Narrowband Ha Oiii 2" filter and the IDAS NBZ-II 2" Ha Oiii

Sh2-129 - Flying Bat and Squid Nebula

This was one of the most difficult targets I shot last year. The faint Oiii signal in the Squid Nebula is really more suited to a mono setup and required over 20 hours of integration to really pull the details out using an OSC.🔭

Yes, well kind of, and requires a bit of scripting to do. @naztrono.my has an excellent video on how to do it.

Thankfully this wasn't a mosaic just the full native FOV

A rock and roll 1hr 36mins!! Had to ditch around a 3rd of the subs due to star trails (didn't take a wedge with me so it was alt/az mode only). Manually integrated and processed in PixInsight.

Lagoon and Trifid nebulae.

Been away on the beautiful island of Nusa Lembongan in Indonesia. Dark skies gave me an opportunity to let the Seestar S30 do it's thing. 🔭

NGC 7380 - Wizard Nebula

With the recent weather in Jakarta not allowing any astrophotography, I thought I'd reprocess some data I shot from back in September/October of last year.

Messier 82 - Cigar Galaxy

Shot this again over christmas using the Touptek ATR585C this time. This starburst galaxy is very active and the hydrogen jets give an interesting spectacle.

What's the name of your book Sam? Would love to read this. I've only be doing astronomy/astrophotography since Feb 2023 and have so much to learn.

Hello bluesky!

I am a lecturer of Electronics and Physics, and an amateur astronomer. I share all of my astrophotography, astronomy tips, and other photography to my socials.

I have recently switched away from X, Facebook, Instagram, and am now only on Bluesky.

Absolutely, it should be. Williamina Fleming did all the hard work with this one and discovered it photographically. She was such a pioneer and incredibly talented. Here's to all the amazing women who have advanced science and especially those who went uncredited.

Veil Nebula and Pickering's Triangle

When a star dies, its outer material gets thrown off and can leave behind beautiful structures in the night sky. These gases can go on to produce new stars. The beauty of rebirth.

Hi Kevin, very amateur astrophotographer here. What was the resolution of the sensor on Voyager 2? Love seeing this data being reprocessed. Clear skies!

Well, the weather here in Jakarta hasn't allowed the Seestars to produce anything yet, so here is a throwback to when I used an APS-C astronomy camera to image the moon through my 8 inch Newtonian 🔭. 126GB of data were used to make this.
