This is Orchard Park in N Cambridge, and it consists of a load of concrete and tarmac: a skatepark (85% used by boys and young men) and a MUGA (93% male users). There are some tennis courts but what girl or even woman would feel safe there.

Went out to sea off the north Kent coast yesterday to see the Red Sands Forts. A truly eerie place, designed by Guy Maunsell during WW2 to provide anti-aircraft fire in the Thames Estuary, now home to some Herring Gull and a pioneering adventive buddleia.
