How sad. It’s been years since I was diving in that area, and there have been so many wars and oil spills that this doesn’t surprise me. Look at where the current bombings are happening. It’s clear they’ll do more damage to those waters.

And I am sure the protestors who wanted a political change in Iran are in a position to follow Trump’s order to rise up as their families flee the flames, right? And of course are eager to follow the orders of the man who ordered the bombings killing their children. Right.

This wasn’t a case of “he said/she said”. Law enforcement believed her, and the intimidation and threats she faced caused her to back down at the time.

I once sat at a dinner table with James Carville, Judge Robert Bork, Utah Senator Orin Hatch and several tech execs. I have seldom felt so ignorant or poorly educated as when watching Carville’s soft evisceration of the right wingers. He is a masterful debater for sure.

Agreed. I have a total no interest credit card debt of $6,200 (all medical). It’s the largest since I paid off my first mortgage, and it keeps me up at night. I feel sick thinking of the debt burden the Reagan, Bush, Bush, and Trump administrations are saddling our great grandkids with.

Cuellar has often voted in line with the needs of his south Texas constituents. I was surprised by this vote. I do not live in his district but my family has owned land there since Texas was part of Mexico, and I sit on some boards in the district. He WILL hear my opinion. Then likely ignore it.

I think your grandmother would join me is saying that it is the natural order of things for you to say farewell to her instead of the other way around. Her love and good wishes will stay with you, so you can grieve, then move into the future she dreams of for you. Wishing your family well.

These reps are from CA, Ohio, Maine & Texas. Only Cuellar might fit the “Dixiecrat” description. That said, this vote is shameful. I have made sure a PAC in Cuellar’s district will lose some $$$. We need to hold them all accountable, and money talks. So do calls & snail mail.

I have never thought of Henry Cuellar as a Dixiecrat, but I am disgusted by this. I am part of a PAC of landowners in his district, and will be demanding that we cut any funding. I have expressed my opinion to his legislative aide and will tell him he just lost a long-time supporter ASAP.

It’s the last few days of coyote mating season in the piney woods of East Texas. They are fun to watch as they scamper around, but I can’t say I will miss the cacophony of barking dogs (including mine) around 3 am as the coyotes head through the area back to the river flats.

I support Gina, too. But Talarico is a DINO, and if you look at the primary results in small counties, Jasmine was at >70%. Will the black voters who turned out for her show up in November? Turnout has to be our focus, I think.

It’s rare, but Trump is telling the truth. Texas voters do vote as he tells them. Trump gerrymandered Jasmine Crockett out of Congress. Then he bullied CBS into not airing Stephen Colbert’s Talarico interview, which gave him the visibility to beat her. Trump stooge Paxton can win if Trump endorses.

That would require us to live in a democracy. We do not. We live in a constitutional republic set up to put those decisions into Congress, not the people. The assumption was that Congress and the courts would act quickly to prevent the criminal acts we see now.

Trump demanded TX Gov Abbott gerrymander her out of office because she was so good at fact checking his lies. He intends to send the message that those who speak the truth face consequences. Sadly there are many minions like Abbott who will obey him.

Clearly whoever created this animation forgot that human beings need to be able to actually stand close enough to a ladder to climb down it - not a possibility the way that covering opens. Bad AI or just poor CGI?

A third party vote is effectively a Republican vote in most parts of the US.
