Is it longing or lonely, perhaps both? The yearning, the missing or the oneness of standing alone, who can say? I ponder this often in my quest to be kinder. If I feel these feels, then others do too, in that we are common & there's opportunity to share empathy & lift each other

The Government Just Told Educators They’re Not “Real” Professionals A new federal definition of “professional degrees” excludes all education fields, slashing loan access and threatening the teacher, librarian, counselor, and leader pipeline.

Educators are not the only group left out. Nursing, social work, public health, counseling, and physician assistant programs are also excluded. Every excluded field is a public service profession that requires advanced training but does not offer high salaries.

Department of EDUCATION refuses to classify EDUCATORS as professionals is one of the most backwards things I've ever heard. 🙄 It also tells you all you need to know. They don't think the people they're supposed to support are "professional" enough to deserve that support.

A large group of starlings flying in the air. The sun is setting, and the lower part of the sky is bright orange. Beneath the group of birds, there are multiple trees.

Whilst we’re not entirely sure why starlings fly in such large groups, it’s believed that it might be to protect themselves from predators, such as hawks, falcons and owls. 🦉

A forest path that goes into the distance covered in autumn leaves … trees on both sides are tall and thin with branches arching over .. their leaves are turning and orange and yellow.. some are green.
