I am very thankful for good friends

One of my students wished me happy Miku day today and then proceeded to share a great deal of information about what a vocaloid is and how they are used. It was lovely!

The real question is, can I find the right cover vibe. This will be my biggest challenge as an amateur cover designer, and I'm looking forward to it! I can't afford to hire someone for my backlist.

I’m not sure how I’ll feel when I get done editing The Gilded Veil, but since my creative juices seem to have slowed for a bit, I’m considering recovering and re-editing the Maer Cycle.

It’s a good little fantasy trilogy that just needs some love, and it overlaps with my other books in fun ways.

This puts me at 10 people released. I filed my 1st habeas petition 29 days ago. I am an incredibly small-time, nobody lawyer who knew nothing about immigration law the day I submitted that case. I barely know any more today. I had never sued the federal government and now I've beaten them 10 times.

I hope this series finds a lot more readers. Despite some structural quibbles, I found it a refreshing change from the fantasy—and the romance—I usually gravitate toward.

I loved the book’s style, its prose, its patience.

It reads as if it began as a fic or a serial; the structure is not traditional of a novel, & the ending is more like a chapter ending. 2/

I finished the first book and am moving on to the second soon.

Read it if you want beautiful medieval Chinese inspired worldbuilding with weretigers, a bodhisattva, flying lotuses, & slow-burn lesbianism.

Avoid it if you want a quick hit of romance dopamine.

The ending does get a little spicy 1/
