The Government has rightly backed the people of Ukraine in their fight against Putin in this war, the outcome of which will affect all of Europe. We must do all we can now to sanction those that seek to supply Russia's war machine through the back door.

Families of children with cancer to have travel costs covered The government sets aside £10 million a year to help families and young people under 24 access cancer treatment.

Receiving a cancer diagnosis can be devastating for children and their families.

That’s why we are launching a £10 million travel fund to support families of children with cancer.

The Lunar New Year celebrations continued at the Gateway Church for an excellent event with many of our friends from the Hong Kong community in Leeds South West & Morley, thank you so much for such a generous welcome.

I had the privilege to be invited to speak at the divine celebration of Shiva and Shakti in Leeds, alongside the Lord Mayor of Leeds and attended by many of our neighbours from the Morley Indian community.

Thank you to everyone who came to my surgeries in Morley and Churwell, we’ve already actioned most of the casework.

On Holocaust Memorial Day we remember the six million Jewish men, women and children murdered during the Holocaust.

We pay tribute to the survivors who tell their stories today.

I signed the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment on behalf of the people of Leeds South West & Morley.

I stand with Chow Hang‑tung and with all Hongkongers across the UK facing transnational repression from the CCP. No one should lose their freedom for lighting a candle or defending human rights.

Today, Chow Hang‑tung is spending her 5th birthday behind bars. She faces up to 10 more years there under the National Security Law, despite the UN calling her detention arbitrary.

On Thursday, the trial of Chow Hang‑tung, Albert Ho and Lee Cheuk‑yan begun in Hong Kong. Their “crime” was organising peaceful candlelight vigils to remember the victims of Tiananmen Square, a tradition kept alive for over 30 years before it was banned.

Downing Street says Trump 'wrong' to claim Nato troops avoided Afghanistan front line Veterans and bereaved families call the comments insulting, as the prime minister's spokesperson says

NATO's Article 5 has only ever been invoked once; when the US was attacked on 9/11.

The UK answered the call and 457 British service personnel were killed, with many more injured.
