Hello! I'm a Gold ENnie-winning (2024) writer and TTRPG designer. I run Curious Chimeras, an indie TTRPG company in Singapore, and freelance as a writer, editor, and consultant for Evil Hat, Paizo, Pelgrane, Renegade, and Wizards of the Coast.

So yeah in conclusion check out the book it's amazing (the elementals and dragons are so great) and I had lots of fun consulting, writing, and designing for it. 10/10 would have late calls with @brianyaksha.bsky.social again on "it's all Irori's fault" lol or geeking on Rakshasas, Asuras, Yakshas.
06.11.2025 08:43 β π 11 π 0 π¬ 2 π 04 (continued) so if you run a horror story where there's themes of Runelords or other fleshwarping mages seeking to turn people and their emotions into so much useful sin-powered chattel, remember, a mysterious and pulpy dark hero might emerge to brutally challenge these scholars and horrors!
06.11.2025 08:39 β π 11 π 0 π¬ 1 π 04 (continued) In a little world building feat I'm happy with, I could connect and locate these stories of biohorrors seeking to be oddly human within Golarion too, by placing the Atrixyls as rare survivors of the Runewells and Runelords' magical fleshwarping processes... that created the Sinspawn!
06.11.2025 08:36 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 1 π 04. (Continued) And so I wrote my love letter, the Atrixyl, to these weird organic liminal horrors struggling against the organisations and elites who created them; neither human nor monstrous, always opposing conditions of their making; indirectly, thus, to protect others from such dark fates too!
06.11.2025 08:34 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 1 π 04. Finally, I'm a Kamen Rider fan, horror-filled Showa and various "mature" projects like Shin and Black Sun; body horror, evil occult-science-industrial elites, etc. also fond of Guyver and other biologically-transformed Byronic (anti)superheroes... So when I was allowed to write a new aberration..
06.11.2025 08:29 β π 14 π 0 π¬ 1 π 03. (Continued) So if an angel can empty Hells of lost souls and the repentant, esp impt in a magical economy where soul trafficking exists.. Then there is chance in games and stories to break Hell's aura of finality, and also to challenge what I see as a glamour of Evil (people "deserve" Hell, etc).
06.11.2025 08:24 β π 14 π 0 π¬ 1 π 03. (Continued) So some of these abilities can be found in the writeup, and most of all it's fun cos I get to question some of the implicit Judeo-Christian assumptions on morality and metaphysics in fantasy gaming; the soteriology of Buddhism and other Dharmic faiths does not accept Hell as eternal.
06.11.2025 08:22 β π 13 π 1 π¬ 1 π 03. (continued) The ΕramaαΉa can travel across various planes without access to planar keys, and allow movement for the repentant as well from the Lower Planes; there are stories in Japan of children being tormented in hell by demons, and how JizΕ Bosatsu throws his shawl out to hide these poor kids.
06.11.2025 08:20 β π 14 π 0 π¬ 1 π 03. (Continued) The ΕramaαΉa, or "Renouncer Angel", is inspired by stories of KαΉ£itigarbha Bodhisattva (ε°θθ©θ¨ in Chinese), who swears to empty the Hells. In Japan he's seen at roadsides and shrines as the red-scarfed JizΕ Bosatsu, who guards and guides dead children. The ΕramaαΉa was really fun to write!
06.11.2025 08:18 β π 14 π 1 π¬ 1 π 03. (Continued) The Tennin, or "Brocade Angel" continues my attempt to place the word "brocade" in Pathfinder 2e as much as possible, and while the Japanese name links it to Buddhist devas, my inspiration was the stories of NΓΌwa in Daoism, the Chinese mother goddess who repaired the Pillars of Heaven
06.11.2025 08:10 β π 17 π 1 π¬ 1 π 02. Worked with @donatoclassic.bsky.social on the Garuda redesign; mostly provided some inputs on how to make Garuda feel more, well, true in majesty and spirit to their South, Southeast, and East Asian story traditions
3. Designed two angels; the Tennin (倩人 in Chinese) and ΕramaαΉa (ζ²ι in Chinese)..
A bit of good cheer! Monster Core 2 for Pathfinder 2e just released, and I can talk about it; I'm happy to have worked on consulting and design for it!
1. Worked with @brianyaksha.bsky.social on Asuras; we had many convos trying to adapt Golarion metaphysics into Vedic and Dharmic cosmologies haha!
Been quiet; in and out of hospitals and clinics (surgeries, medications, tests, therapies), mostly just trying to stay alive (and not become broke). Hopefully 2026 will be a bit easier. Making peace with quite a lotta pain, loss, disappointments; rather hard on my voice and confidence. But I'll try.
06.11.2025 08:00 β π 18 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Always happy to work with @brianyaksha.bsky.social on consulting for and making creatures for ttrpgs, in this case, the Asuras and their lore for Pathfinder 2E's Monster Core 2!
06.11.2025 02:46 β π 16 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Good-bye to my teacher, my colleague, and above all, my friend. I have not finished the Maritime SEA Buddhist kingdoms rpg I was trying to build and gift you in spirit, to show how contemporary cultural expressions and media could be used to help foster knowledge and protection of Asia's heritage...

This inexpressible, impossibly varied confluence of lives I've met, helped, been helped by, hurt, been hurt by, endless maelstroms, not just of emotion, but also affect, a dreaming stream that floods and flees the floe of my fingers...
It is all so much, and I am grateful, for the chances to fight.
But I guess I often forget I'm not as terrible as I fear I am. I mean, so what if I can't get into reliable academic employment, or I can't get any progression in wages as befits my experience or expertise... Or I'm not successful or prestigious or anything like that. It's all.. actually quite ok.
14.09.2025 13:26 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0was having a lot of downer thoughts constantly and lately; feeling like a failure in much of my life, especially given my age. I was supposedly good at academe, but depression wiped me out, and I tried fitting into other jobs, but that didn't work out as well. I disappointed many, but mostly myself.
14.09.2025 13:22 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Felt good, as a long-time gig worker, drifting from one place to another, consumed, subsumed by one institution that throws me away after another, without benefits or stability... To dig into the bones, suck into marrow of my being...
And to use that as a beginning of empathy to help other workers.
Also, in the discussions, all participants (from governments, employers' groups, workers' unions, and CSOs) had the chance to debate and revise recommendations...
I shall not go into detail, but I raised many concerns with attempts to make the exact phrasing less.. enforceable and more vague. Heh.
The final recommendations can be found here:

I'm glad to say most of the data points we cohered from across the various ASEAN countries' experiences and concerns, as reflected by the CSOs, were able to be addressed in this final list of recommendations!
I was happy to put my training as an SEAsianist and experience as a writer to use during the discussions on the language and wording of the final recommendations made by the Forum (and UN, in the form of the International Labor Organization and international Organization for Migration) for ASEAN.
