The 100% ending in particular is just so lame, makes sylux look like an absolute moron. The main part of the ending doesn't do anything offensive at least but that's because it basically does nothing at all, extremely underwhelming narratively

I was somewhat enjoying it initially but it just kept getting worse and the ending actively made me mad

Thoroughly tested it and I think it's impossible to get the key on this layer without the bananza power you get here so for this small section at least it is necessary

Been trying it out and so far I've made it to sl 900 without collecting any bananas (so no skill points) and without getting and using any bananza powers except for the Kong bananza tutorial you have to do

It's annoying because it feels like it should be possible to skip the 4th but I just couldn't seem to get the item you need without it

Oh you're right I never realised, it's totally possible to entirely ignore the skill tree then. Pretty sure you can almost entirely ignore the bananzas too except for the moment where you unlock the first and you also need to unlock the 4th for one specific thing

I think you have turf surf by default its only surf surf you have to learn but you would definitely need to learn chunk jump

You can skip most of the platforming sections without much thought with ostritch

A lot of the time the excitement doesn't really hit me at all until very close to it happening, like currently I'm looking forward to it but I won't be actively excited till tomorrow probably

I hope donkey Kong bananza requires you to have played all the country games

Randomly decided to try Shadow Man for the N64 and I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying it. It's like a weird mix of metroidvania and collectathon with a bit of action and platforming, great stuff

The amount of people whining that you now have to play the good part of the game online is driving me crazy lol

Just started it partially based on this post and I'm having a great time with it though I feel death could be a bit more punishing than just sending you to a shrine with no other consequences. Have you played the original king's field games? I think you'd probably enjoy them if you like this.

As someone who's generally always only liked mario kart, the wall riding, rail grinding and the intermissions bring so much to the table for me that it's immediately become my favourite by far

Are there any actual credits in the game? I expected to see them after I completed the stamp rally but nope and I can't get 100% because I can't do the gl gr minigame.

Honestly I'm a bit bored by the traditional 3 laps now, the races with intermissions are much more exciting to me
