A character study unlike anything you've, most likely, never seen before or since; one person, portrayed by two polar opposite interacting personas.

Hello! I'm an artist that makes comics now and then. You may know me best as the author and illustrator on the comic 'Without Blitzo', as well as the ongoing comic 'Glass Spider'. I like to talk about movies, music, history and video games.

3- The Automatic Motorist (Walter R. Booth, 1911), 10 min.
A fully realized remake of the director's own movie 'The ? Motorist' from 1906. A visually dynamic drive through the impossible.
XD I was debating over if I should point that out, but it goes without saying.

2 - The Big Swallow/A Photographic Contortion (James Williamson, 1901), 1 min. 8 sec.
Much like many shorts of its era, this is more a visual experiment than a narrative. It completely obliterates the fourth wall in a unique fashion.
XD I do feel more and more like him.

11.11.2025 20:30 — 👍 13 🔁 2 💬 3 📌 1It goes to show that being the most popular didn't always mean 'the best written' back then. XD
11.11.2025 20:21 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0It feels like it wouldn't have mattered regardless; there was a very set formula for writing creepypastas back in the day, so in a way, they were all ripping off each other. Clichés don't really need a language barrier.

1 - La Folie du Docteur Tube/The Madness of Dr. Tube (Abel Gance, 1915), 10 min.
An early example of visual distortion being portrayed in film form. Since there were no distortion lenses at the time, the desired effect was achieved with mirrors. Very disorienting.
I hear ya. This one is up on the official Steam-page though.

People that write 'pixelated' instead of 'bit-crushed'.
