a definition post that reads: Death Doula, AKA end of life doula. A death doula focuses on the non medical needs of someone who is dying. Some Doulas provide direct support to the dying and their loved ones by advocating, providing personal care, comfort, respite and more. Some help facilitate end of life planning , legacy , creation, grief support, and death education. Each Doula has a unique approach to their practice.

What is a Death Doula? Each Doula has their own unique approach to their care, here's a very basic explanation.

A decorative border surrounds A definition of Hospice Care : Hospice care is focused on comfort and quality of life for someone who has stopped treating a condition and is focusing on the labour of death.Pain management, comfort and extra support is given to someone in Hospice. They have stopped trying to prolong life, and are focusing on the labour of dying. Hospice care can be provided at home, hospital, long term care or in a Hospice centre/home . The caregivers are trained in end of life care. The scope of care provided and prescribed medications may change.
