This is a special one for me, because Daria and I met as freshmen - we lived opposite each other in Forbes. 🧑 πŸ–€ 🧑

26.10.2025 22:37 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

BUT I hear there will be a bunch more copies available Tuesday!!! πŸ“£πŸ“£πŸ“£

If you read SALTCROP and enjoyed it, I’d also appreciate any word of mouth this week more than ever as stores are hopefully able to get more copies. πŸ™πŸ»

26.10.2025 22:27 β€” πŸ‘ 5    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

It’s been a low key terrifying because those two weeks were half my first month of sales, which seems like a crucial time for potential momentum. Not to mention how easy it is to get lost in the fall season when so many big books are coming out.

26.10.2025 22:27 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Part of this is great (people are interested in the book!) and part of it I heard (unconfirmed) is a distribution issue due to Ingram having to absorb Baker and Taylor books when they shuttered.

26.10.2025 22:27 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

So if you are a bookstore this is a plea to please consider ordering SALTCROP, and if you haven’t bought it yet but are thinking about it, please consider ordering a copy through your local indie so they remember to order it when it’s back in stock hopefully Tuesday! πŸ™πŸ»

26.10.2025 22:27 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

To be clear some stores do have it if they already ordered stock (as does Amazon), but other stores told me they can’t replenish or order it in until more come into the warehouse.

Good news first - as of two weeks ago, Saltcrop is getting a second printing. That’s amazing. Thank you for your support!!!

The bad news is it’s been out of stock for two weeks at Ingram, a major book distributor, which is pretty agonizing. πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“

The Traveling SFF Festival: Crossover SFF Teo's Durumi is the conclusion to Elaine U. Cho’s space opera duology that began with Ocean's Godori, an Indies Introduce and Indie Next pick.
