It's funny in a cosmic sort of way, in an upcoming video that I've already recorded for, I mentioned Highguard as an example of a live service game flop and described it as "floundering, despite good numbers day one". In the few days between recording that audio, the game shuts down. Damn.

Big studio indie game is basically just a fancy word for AA game, but is also understandable for the average viewer.

Here's my solution, split indie into multiple categories.

"Best solo developed indie game"
"Best studio indie game with a team of ten people or less"
"Best big studio indie game"

That way Blue Prince, Silksong and E33 can get recognized at their level without unfair comparisons.

I was just talking to a friend about the Game Awards, the biggest issue is that the categories are bullshit, especially as it pertains to Indie games, because what it means to be Indie is vague. E33 and Silksong are both independently funded, but are different levels of the same thing.

Well, after sacrificing two days to the gods, I finished God of War: Sons of Sparta. I can confidently say it is probably my second least favorite god of war game, and simultaneously the overall worst game in the series. Despite liking it better than ascension, Ascension is a less flawed game.

It's more complex than this obviously, but there's no denying that whenever you see someone talking about "what a time to have been alive" it always coincides with when they grew up. Everybody feels that way about their era. Every era is special, but your era isn't more special than other's eras.

You know, I hate gen AI as much as the next guy, but I think people are getting a little bit overzealous.

E33 used AI to make some temporary textures which were later replaced by legitimately made textures. What's the problem here? Nobody's losing their job over temporary textures.

A picture to tie in with the facetious post about three separate posters representing the Father the son and the Holy Spirit. Kratos representing the father, Spire the dragon representing the sun, and Eddie the head of Iron Maiden Fame representing the Holy Spirit. I can see the father makes sense as Kratos is famously a father, the holy spirit makes sense because Eddie the head is famously dead, but Spyro being the son doesn't really hold up a scrutiny.

I hung the framed posters in the stairway of my new house, so I now present "the Father the son and the Holy Spirit"
